Programs VISTA College
Everything around us involves technology, telephones, cars or planes; factories are full of machinery, computers and tablets; research on the latest medicines and so on. Working with high-tech equipment and green energy is all geared toward the work of the future for people who don’t shy away from a challenge. There are many engineering training programs out there and the business community is looking for well-trained technical staff.
VISTA College offers the following programs at Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Industrial Park:
About VISTA College
VISTA college is the leader in tech programs in South Limburg.
The standard education provided by VISTA college is linked to the knowledge applied in practice; after all, the partnership with Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Industrial Park means a distinction can no longer be made between work and other processes required for the MBO qualifications, and the work processes in practice.
CoP – Community of Practice
VISTA college’s World of Research and the business community in South Limburg agree that they cannot meet the growing and changing local labor demand throughout the region if they are kept separate and continue to implement a chain strategy. Thanks to the growth of the Brightlands Campuses, and specifically the ambitions of Chemelot Industrial Park in the fields of chemistry, climate, and raw materials, the demand for technical personnel with secondary and higher educational backgrounds will grow to unprecedented heights in the coming years.
Within this context, VISTA College, Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL), Chemelot Consortium (Anqore, Arlanxeo, Borealis, DSM, Fibrant, OCI Nitrogen, Sabic, Sitech and Vynova) and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences have assumed collective responsibility to work together to achieve agile education both closer to home and in the business community. This means that serious thought is being given to making the range of education on offer, educational time and educational roles more flexible and hybrid.
Named CoP, or Community of Practice, the project’s goal is to build an educational structure in an ecosystem of education and work. This involves ensuring the final study years in secondary vocational education occur in cooperation with the relevant context of community at Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Industrial Park, and eventually beyond this location.
