This is precisely what a Maastricht research group led by Prof. Dr. Marc Vooijs is going to study in mini-tumors that they will “cultivate” in the laboratory. The scientists will be receiving a 150,000 Euro subsidy from KWF Kankerbestrijding (Dutch Cancer Society) for this fundamental research on the diversity of the types of brain tumors that are (still) untreatable.
