SHE provides high quality multidisciplinary research and teaching and helps to innovate educational programmes. Educational research is essential for finding new and better ways to educate health professionals. The general aim of all SHE research, including the PhD programme, is to provide support for research and innovation in health professions education. SHE’s research programme concentrates on two main research themes: Learning & Innovative Learning Environments and Assessment & Evaluation.

SHE has more than 35 years of experience implementing student-centered learning in medicine and the health sciences with strong connections to the paramedical field. SHE covers the full educational spectrum: online and campus-based courses are designed to improve health professions education. The educational offer covers a full range from short courses and more specialized focus courses to certificate courses, to full degree programmes such as a Master of Science and PhD programme. SHE has a strong belief in lifelong learning and guarantees a broad range of quality, student-centered programmes.
