Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL)
Brightlands Chemelot Campus is home to the Maastricht Science Programme and Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL). This institution offers chemistry courses for students and professionals.
Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL) was founded by SABIC, DSM, Leeuwenborgh Education, Arcus College, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Maastricht University. CHILL is located at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus. Chemistry is one of the Dutch government’s designated top sectors and makes a substantial contribution to the Netherlands’ economic development and strength. Southern Limburg is a leader in innovative process technology and life and material sciences.
CHILL offers an innovative learning, working and research environment where education (senior vocational, higher professional and university level education) and the business community (from SMEs to multinationals) work together to develop knowledge and new products. Within the context of this collaboration, students learn to apply their knowledge to contemporary issues, companies get help finding solutions to concrete innovative challenges, and students and companies develop a close working relationship. This not only connects young people to this region, it is also well-aligned with CHILL's mission: to provide enough well-trained people for the sector.
