Artificial Intelligence lecture: AI Experiments at APGEvent date: May 11, 201704:00u
End date: May 11, 2017
On Thursday May 11, 2017 16:00-17:15, the BISS Institute organizes in the context of Techruption an ‘Artificial Intelligence and more’ lecture series. Thomas Martens and Arjen de Vries, working at APG, are the speakers during the ‘AI and more’ lecture on May 11, 2017.
The APG GroeiFabriek started three years ago. The goal is to build a new APG, that is prepared for the future given the expected turbulent changes in the Dutch pension market. Therefore, the GroeiFabriek explorers many concepts and technologies that could be relevant for APG’s future, by launching multiple experiments. One of the technologies that the GroeiFabriek focusses on to explore is Artificial Intelligence.
In this lecture, Arjen and Thomas (both working at APG) will elaborate on three of these AI experiments. They will share results, working processes and next steps. The first experiment is the ”Social Awareness Monitor” in which they explored the impact of tweeting behaviour with respect to ESG topics on media exposures. ”Next Best Question””, as the name implies, is about predicting the (pension)question a customer would ask today based on their contact history and profile. Finally, “Kandoor“, one of the GroeiFabriek’s spin-off companies, uses NLP to enhance their online question answering service.
