may 4, 2017

The DSM Innovative Synthesis Research Center, which was a part of DSM Chemical Technology R&D BV, is since May 1 an independent company, named InnoSyn BV. As an independent company, InnoSyn BV can further grow its business at Brightlands Chemelot Campus.

DSM has transformed its business to a more resilient and focused portfolio. As a result, the role of the Research Center Innovative Synthesis in DSM has also changed. InnoSyn BV will be an innovative partner for customers, using state-of-the-art technology in R&D for new and existing chemical processes. InnoSyn BV will continue to deliver high-end chemical process R&D services to customers, from lab scale, pilot scale including implementing industrial scale, e.g. at customer facilities.

Daniel Mink, CEO InnoSyn BV: “We are excited about the spin-out from R&D department in a large company into an independent chemical R&D service provider. Chemistry & catalysis are in the DNA of the new company. Our tagline ‘Tomorrow’s Chemistry. Today’ shows where our passion, strength and added value are. InnoSyn is already working for numerous large companies as well as for a considerable number of small companies. DSM will remain a long-term customer for part of its chemistry projects. All our cooperation partners are positive about the spin-out and they look forward to our development in the future. InnoSyn and its pilot plant will stay located at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, where we feel very much at home.”

Bert Kip, CEO Brightlands Chemelot Campus comments: “The unique capabilities of InnoSyn have a strong, synergistic fit with the ambitions of Brightland Chemelot Campus. The spin-out offers new opportunities for the campus and for InnoSyn’s people, expertise and network. We are proud to contribute to this development by taking a share in the new company.”

Twan Beurskens, Regional Minister of Economic Affairs and Knowledge Infrastructure for the Province of Limburg adds: “We are pleased that InnoSyn can continue to develop their business on the campus and contribute to the economic development of our province.”
