Lookback on Dutch Hacking Healthmay 23, 2016
The Dutch Health Hacking Maastricht organized by Maastricht UMC+ took place this weekend on the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus at EM-TRAC’s training facility.
Hacking Health Maastricht is an event where technology, design, entrepreneurship, healthcare and patients are brought together during a weekend. The objective is to transform healthcare by connecting teams, which usually rarely collaborate, to search for human-centric solutions to front-line healthcare problems.
Business developers from Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus were present at this event, taking the role of coach to support the teams bringing their idea into viable prototype and pitch the opportunity in front of a multi-disciplinary jury of experts. Brightlands also contributed to the winner’s price by offering to the 3 winners the opportunity to participate in business training sessions, usually organized by Brightlands for resident start-up companies.
The first prize of the local Dutch Hacking Health Maastricht was attributed to FIT+. The project consists into a smartphone solution dealing with physical training for hospitalized patients. Congratulations to Christel van Beijsterveld and her team!
