Digital Health and Wearables Event

july 4, 2019

On the 20th of June, Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus organized the first Digital Health and Wearables Event in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. More than 80 people attended the event, which was covered by RTV Maastricht.

Ten startups were selected to pitch during the event: DDCare, iMed Technology, Psylaris, Eaglet Eye, Femly,  STIL, MedC2, Neuroteg AI, SAM, and Fibrothelium. They got feedback from an audience that included investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, consultants and Euregion organizations helping startups to grow.

Each startup had the opportunity to ask specific feedback to a panel specialized in digital health and wearables. This panel was composed by Annegien Blokpoel (Strategy Advisor and Business Angel, PerspeXo), Dick Sietses (Investor partner Health Innovations Fund) and Herm Martens (Health Innovation Lab, MUMC+). The feedback-session was moderated by Wynand Bodewes, associated professor entrepreneurship.

This event was organized in the context of the Hyperegio project Busy Bee. The goal was to connect startups, investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, to boost their networks, facilitate exchange of experiences in this area and foster grow and innovation within the region.
