MetGen helps bio-based industrymarch 24, 2019
Why is Brightlands so important for innovative entrepreneurs and start-ups? And how does the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, researchers, knowledge workers and students actually work? One of the many examples is the Finnish biotech company, MetGen. Last year, MetGen opened a fungal genetics unit at Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen to further expand its offering and boost production efficiency. MetGen looks for robust, tailored enzymatic solutions for the bio-based industry in the bio-energy, renewable chemicals, and pulp and paper sectors. An important part of MetGen’s activities is innovation, research and development. MetGen is active within the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program.
