Dick Slootweg and Bob Hutten give presentation during Dutch Agri Food Week

The Dutch Agri Food Week will be held for the third time in the Netherlands this year, from October 9th to the 19th. Attendees come to this event to learn more about how tasty, healthy and safe food is produced. Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo is one of the founding fathers of this national theme week.

On Wednesday, October 11, Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo will be holding a high-level meeting for CEOS, opinion leaders and influencers. Top entrepreneurs Dick Slootweg (Bidfood) and Bob Hutten (De Verspillingsfabriek) will be talking about the future of our food. Dick Slootweg will discuss food and digital transformation. “In order to become (and remain) an innovative online food player, you have to respond faster to customers’ changing needs.” Bob Hutten will be talking about food waste and new food from residual flows. “We should be ashamed of the fact that we throw enough food away to feed three billion people, and that one billion people go hungry every day.”

Attendees will also learn more about surprising, possibly strange, dishes that were once a part of our normal menu.

When: Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Location: Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo
