The Brightlands region—encompassing the Dutch Province of Limburg with Maastricht, Heerlen, Sittard-Geleen and Venlo as main cities —offers beautiful places featuring a wealth of culture, nature and history.
The region comprises about four million people. The main local languages are Dutch, German, and French, while the academic, scientific, and commercial communities speak English widely spoken as well.
