Scientific knowledge infrastructure
With the Business Intelligence and Smart Services Institute (BISS), Brightlands Smart Services Campus provides a high-quality scientific knowledge infrastructure for participating start-ups, and small, medium-sized and large companies.
Collaboration and sharing knowledge
With its data visualisation laboratories, scientific support and services in the area of data valorisation, the Smart Services Campus is a unique location where researchers, students and experts can interact. A place where they like to come together to share knowledge and work together on new projects. Where students can get their first practical experience in the field of smart services. Where start-ups can enrich their concepts and the technological innovations of companies can be successfully linked together.
Working on the future of education
The Business Intelligence and Smart Services Institute, or BISS Institute, is a partnership between Maastricht University, Open University and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and is the scientific institute on the Campus.
The universities supply new students at intermediate and higher vocational and university level to study and carry out research on the campus. In this way, the universities want to contribute to a better match between courses and demand on the regional labour market, so that young, talented people can also find their dream job in the region.
